Alcohol & BYOB Policy
Last updated May 15, 2026
Taste Circles does not sell, supply, or serve alcohol. All cooking classes and private chef evenings are bring-your-own-beverage (BYOB). The booking host is solely responsible for the responsible service of any alcohol on the premises.
1. Host Responsibility
As the booking host, you assume full responsibility for: verifying that all guests consuming alcohol are 21 years of age or older; refusing service to any guest who appears intoxicated; ensuring guests have safe transportation home; and complying with all applicable Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code provisions and local ordinances.
2. No Sale by Taste Circles
Our chefs may, as a courtesy, open bottles, pour, and pair tastings using beverages you have provided. No payment to Taste Circles or its staff is consideration for alcohol. Your invoice covers food, instruction, and service only.
3. Minors
Alcohol may not be served to anyone under 21. The host must actively prevent underage guests from accessing alcohol. Taste Circles staff will refuse to pour or open any beverage for a guest who cannot verify age on request.
4. Intoxication & Refusal
Our chefs may, at their sole discretion, decline to continue pouring for a guest who appears intoxicated, and may end an evening without refund if alcohol consumption creates a safety risk in a working kitchen environment.
5. BYOB Liability Release
The host releases and indemnifies Taste Circles, its chefs, employees, and contractors (the "Released Parties") from any and all claims arising from the consumption of alcohol provided by the host or guests at the event, including third-party claims for personal injury, property damage, or impaired-driving incidents occurring during or after the evening, except where caused by the Released Parties' gross negligence or willful misconduct.
6. Recommendations
- Provide non-alcoholic options for designated drivers.
- Plan rideshares or a sober driver in advance.
- Keep food on the table — eating with wine pacing is part of the experience.
7. Acceptance
By checking the BYOB acceptance box at booking, the host confirms they have read, understood, and agree to this policy on behalf of themselves and all attending guests.
